DO YOU KNOW A TEEN SUPERHERO?
Nominate a teen who demonstrates outstanding
leadership through community service and is helping to repair the world. They
could receive $36,000.
The 2016 Diller Teen Tikkun Olam Awards will recognize
up to five Jewish teens from California and an additional ten from across the
United States for exceptional community service and leadership.
What is the Diller Teen Tikkun Olam Award?
The award celebrates Jewish
teens who have demonstrated remarkable leadership and are actively engaged in
projects that embody the value of tikkun
olam, “repairing the world.” Up to 15 recipients will be awarded $36,000
each to further implement their vision for making the world a better place or
for their education.
Who is eligible?
Jewish teens who are
residents of the United States and are 13-19 at the time of nomination are
eligible. Teen volunteer projects can focus on the Jewish or general community.
What is the nomination process?
Teachers, rabbis, community
leaders, or any individual who knows the value of the teen’s volunteer service
may submit a nomination for the award. Teens may choose to self-nominate. Upon
nomination, teens will be asked to complete an online application.
