COSMOS is an intense four week summer program for high school students interested in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields. Students will be working alongside university researchers and faculty members in conducting research underway at the University of California. The program can accommodate about 700 students each year and admission is competitive. The UC campuses participating in the COSMOS program are: UC Davis, UC Irvine, UC San Diego, and UC Santa Cruz.
