Applying to Private?
What is the first thing that comes into your mind when you think of private universities? Is it the  money? Well, don't you worry about that. Apply, get in, and wait for your financial aid packet to make your decision. Remember private collge means private funding.

SO, first things first, on your agenda, it is highly necessary to make sure your personal statements have been edited at least twice by your teachers AND to start on letters of recommendations ASAP. It is very important, and cannot be well stressed enough, that students—regardless of wherever they applystay on top of their application process. Private universities use what they call the "Common App" rather than the UC or CSU form. Please be aware that college deadlines all differ from each other, regardless if they're private or not. SO!!! Stay on TOP of deadlines.

Students interested in private universities should immediately make an appointment with Mrs. Ortiz-Martinez in the college center to discuss your questions regarding requirements and more. Don't forget to sign up for college visits as well!! We will be having several college representatives coming to our school to give information needed to students who are well interested in their colleges.
