Association of Jewish Educator's Scholarships- SENIORS

Are you a graduating Jewish senior interested in going into the field of public education? This Association of Jewish Educators is looking for Jewish students who have demonstrated true leadership in their school and in the Jewish Community.


This association gives the Achievement of Excellence Scholarship for students with exemplary academic records, First Generation Award for Jewish students who have been in the USA no longer than five years, and the Vocational/Post Secondary Award for students who are going to a technical school or a community college.


To apply you will need:


  1. Two letters of recommendation: one from a high school teacher, counselor, or administrator AND one from an adult in the Jewish community who is familiar with the student's Jewish activities.
  2. Complete the paper application and short answer responses available in the College Center
  3. Transcript of school records

Questbridge Scholarship for JUNIORS

Hey JUNIORS! Are you interested in attending some of the best universities in the nation? The Questbridge College Prep Scholarship is designed to help talented, low-income students interested in attending some of the top selective colleges in the country. These include Brown, Columbia, MIT, Princeton, Stanford, USC, and Yale just to name a few!


The awards include FULL scholarships to college summer programs at schools like Harvard, Stanford, and Notre Dame, one-on-one college admissions counseling, invitations to the National College Admissions Conferences, and much more!
 
To be eligible, you must:
 
  1. Be a high school Junior for the 2013-2014 school year.
  2. Show academic excellence with a GPA above a 3.5 in challenging classes
  3. Face long-term economic challenges with a household income of less than $60,000 a year (for a family of four)
  4. Complete the online application that includes an essay and detailed academic and financial info
  5. Current high school transcript
  6. Letter of recommendation from a high school teacher
  7. Available standardized test scores
