The Warren Christopher Scholarship Awards Program presents a scholarship offered to 10th grade students in LAUSD, who demonstrates academic excellence, a commitment to community service, financial need, and ability to overcome hardship. Upon graduation from high school, and enrollment in an accredited college or university, each Christopher Scholar receives a financial award. The Warren Christopher Scholarship Awards Program helps students achieve their dreams of attending college, and going on to careers in business, medicine, science, law, public interest, and government.

Armenian American Educators Association

The Armenian American Educators Association is awarding scholarships to deserving high school students who will be attending colleges, universities and vocational schools.  The purpose of this scholarship is to acknowledge these students for their academic achievement and service in the school and community.

Eligibility:

  • Be a graduating high school senior
  • Plan to enroll at an institution of higher education
  • Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
  • Exemplify community involvement and leaderships skills
  • Be available for a brief interview with the AAEA Board on March 19, 2015 during the hours of 5:00 pm and 8:30 pm
  • Attend the AAEA Scholarship Luncheon

The Los Angeles Clippers Foundation

The Los Angeles Clippers are offering and opportunity to assist college-bound students. Six $4,000 Stay in School Scholarships will be offered to seniors planning to attend a four year college beginning in the fall of 2015.

Criteria

  • Academic Achievement (Grades and SAT scores)
  • Extracurricular Activities
  • Civic and Community Activities
  • 300 word essay on topic "Why college is important to me."

AALA Student Scholarship

Annually, the Associated Administrators of Los Angeles recognizes and celebrates graduating students from LAUSD for their outstanding academic achievement, school and community service, and need. The scholarship awards $2,000 to assist students with his or her academic pursuits.

Want to become an RN?

The Los Angeles Council of School Nurses is awarding three $500 scholarships to seniors whom, after graduating high school will enter an accredited college/university leading to becoming a Registered Nurse. 

Scholarship Application:
  • Essay on "Why I want to become a Registered Nurse?"
  • Two letters of recommendation.
  • Official High School Transcript.
Completed applications must be postmarked by March 31, 2015.
