Asian Pacific Fund Scholarship Programs


Asian Pacific Fund administers 12 scholarship programs, each with unique eligibility criteria. Scholarship amounts range from $1,000 to $20,000 and many renewable.
Who Can Apply?
·        Incoming or current college students of any ethnic background.
·        Must plan to be enrolled full time in the fall.
·        Minimum of 3.0 GPA and be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident unless otherwise stated.
 Banatao Family Filipino American Education Fund
·        5 Awards
·        Renewable
·        Total Award: $20,000
Eligibility Criteria
·        At least 50% Filipino Heritage
·        Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Environmental or Physical Science Major
·        SF Bay Area, Orange County, Lose Angeles, or San Diego Resident
·        Incoming Freshman
·        No Citizenship Requirement
·        Financial Need
Shui Kuen  & Allen Chin Schoalrship
·        2 Awards
·        Non-renewable
·        $1,000
Eligbility Criteria
·        Past/Present Worker in Asian Restaurant (or Child of), Open to all Ethnicities
·        Record of Community Advocacy & Social Work Justice
·        Incoming Freshman or Current Undergraduate

Sang Chul Lee & Donald O. Cameron Memorial Scholarship

Northrop Grumman Engineering Scholars

 A scholarship program for high school seniors interested in pursuing engineering careers
Northrop Grumman Engineering Scholars Program
This scholarship program helps high school seniors who intend to pursue a career in an approved engineering, computer science, mathematics or physics program and who live in communities where Northrop Grumman Electronic Systems has a major presence. High-technology companies across the nation, like Northrop Grumman, continue to face a critical shortage of specialized engineering personnel. Through this scholarship effort, we hope to motivate some of the brightest and best students – with a background and interest in math and science – to consider the engineering professions.
Northrop Grumman will award two $10,000* scholarships to qualified high school seniors in the following locations:
o   California (Woodland Hills campus) – Antelope, Conejo, San Fernando, Simi Valley, Santa Clarita Valley or Ventura County
o   California (Sunnyvale campus) – Alameda or Santa Clara County
Directions to Apply:
·       The application deadline is February 3
·       Review the initial application requirements for the program to ensure that you qualify
·       We advise that you work with your school counselor when preparing this application
·       As part of your application, you will be required to mail the following documents to Scholarship Management Services – (mailing address available on the website)
o   1. A current, complete official transcript of grades and the completed Academic Record Form (provided in the online application)
o   2. Three letters of recommendation: One from a principal or head of math or science department and two from a teacher, employer or community leader
o   Within the online application, please prepare a 400-word essay that answers the questions below:

§  2. Why do you want to be a Northrop Grumman Scholar?
Initial Application Requirements
o   Must be a U.S. citizen
o   Must be a resident in one of the following counties or communities:
            -California (Woodland Hills campus) – Antelope, Conejo, San Fernando, Simi Valley, Santa Clarita Valley or Ventura County
            -California (Sunnyvale Campus) – Alameda or Santa Clara County
o   Must be a graduating senior of a public or accredited private high school in sponsoring location
o   Must plan to attend an accredited college or university as a full-time student in approved engineering, computer science, mathematics or physics program
o   Must have a minimum composite SAT score of 1700 or ACT score of 27 (initial application)
o   Must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 (un-weighted) 9-12 (initial application only)
Ongoing Eligibility Requirements:
o   Recipient must remain in an accredited four year college or university as a full0time student in an approved engineering, computer science, mathematics or physics program
o   Must  maintain a 3.0 GPA
o   Annual renewal is contingent upon satisfactory academic performance in a full-time course study (12 credits minimum)
o   Recipients are required to notify Northrop Grumman of any changes in contact information or school enrollment, and must provide a complete official transcript when requested
o   Recipients are required to accept summer internships two out of three summers, contingent upon job availability. If a summer internship is offered and  the scholarship recipient does not accept it, the remaining scholarship funds may be forfeited. If no internship positions are available, recipients will not forfeit the scholarship

o   Recipients of any Northrop Grumman scholarships are not eligible
