Free Speech Essay Contest

Are you a Senior or Junior looking for scholarships? Do you think you have exceptional writing skills? The Foundation for Individual Rights in Education has the perfect scholarship opportunity for you. To participate in this contest you have to watch a couple of videos on the foundation's website and write an essay between 800-1,000 words. 

Topic: 

"Why is free speech important at our nation’s colleges and universities?
Using examples from both videos, discuss how censorship of student speech is incompatible with higher education."
Prize:
  • First Place: $10,000.
  • Second Place: $5,000.
  • Three Runner-up Prizes: $1,000.
  • Four $500 Winners from the remaining entrants in a drawing.
