Ronald McDonald House Charities Scholarship Opportunity!




The Ronald McDonald House Charities have four scholarship opportunities. This year , RMHC of Southern California will award 109 scholarships. More than $300,000 will be awarded.

Scholarships : 

1. RMHC/HACER for Southland Hispanic high school seniors for demonstrating excellence in academics and financial need to pursue a higher education.

RMHC/African-American Future Achievers honors Southern California African-American high school seniors who plan to make an impact in their communities.  Students submit an essay describing their community service and leadership abilities and how their future endeavors will benefit society.

3.RMHC/ASIA scholarship program pays tribute to high school seniors of Asian Pacific descent.  Students must submit an essay detailing their leadership skills and community service, along with a letter of recommendation from a nonprofit community-based organization.  In addition to the scholarship, a $500 honorarium is awarded to the community-based organization of each recipient’s choice. 

4.RMHC/Scholars scholarship is open to all high school seniors demonstrating excellence in academics, character, leadership, and financial need. 

Eligibility: 

  • Be a currently enrolled high school senior who is eligible to attend an accredited two or four-year college, university or vocational/technical school with a completed course of study. 
  • Reside withing Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino or Ventura counties 
  • Be a legal U.S. resident.
  • be less than 21 years of age.
  • Have a minimum 2.7 GPA.
